5、eattoglobalhealth.MostEIDsappeartoresultfromincreasedcontactbetweenwildlifeandhumans,especiallywhenhumansencroachintoformerlypristinehabitats.Habitatdeteriorationmayalsonegativelyaffectthephysiologyandhealthofwildlifespecies,whichmayeventuallyleadtoahighersusceptibilityt
6、oinfectiousagentsand/orincreasedsheddingofthepa-thogenscausingEIDs.BatsareknowntohostvirusescloselyrelatedtoimportantEIDs.Here,wetestedinapaleotropicalforestwithongoingloggingandfragmentation,whetherhabitatdisturbancein?uencestheoccurrenceofastro-andcoronavirusesineightb
