2、concurrentcanineparvovirus(CPV-2)diseasewasobserved.Case1involveda7-week-old,maleshort-hairedChihuahua,whichhadbecomelethargic24hoursafterpurchasefromapetstore.Within72hours,thepuppybegantovomit,haddiarrhea,andwasadmittedtotheveterinaryclinic,whereitwasplacedonIVˉuids.TheparvovirusCitet

3、testwasnegative.Thepuppydiedwithin12hoursofadmissionandwassubmittedfordiagnosticworkup.GrosspathologyrevealedanenteritissuggestiveofCPV-2.Histo-pathologyonintestinesshowedscattereddilatedcryptswithnecroticcellulardebrisandneutrophils.Therewasmoderatedepletionandnecrosisoflymphoidfollicl

4、es.Electronmicroscopy(EM)onintestinalcontentswaspositiveforcoronavirusandnegativeforparvovirus.Immunohistochemistry(IHC)ongutsectionswaspositiveforCCVandnegativeforCPV-2.Case2wasan8-week-old,maleShihTzu,whichwasadmittedtotheveterinaryclinicexhibitingsymptomsofseveregastroenteritiswithab
