2、orithmiscapableofestimatingthesymmetricalcomponentsaswellastheharmoniccontentsofagivenunbalanceddistortedsignal.Theproposedtechniqueisbasedonstochasticestimationtheorem.Theproblemisformulatedasanestimationproblemandpresentedinstatespaceform.Theproposedalgorithmusedto

3、estimatethepositive,negativeandzerocomponentsofunsymmetricalwaveformsaswellastheharmoniccontentofagivendistortedsignal.Applicationoftheproposedalgorithmhasbeenconductedonvarioustestcases.AmongwhichapracticalsimulatedpowersystemhasbeenimplementedusingEMTP.Variousscena

4、riosarecarriedouttosimulaterealisticsituationsofunsymmetricalwaveforms.Effectsofbaddataonthesolutionaccuracyarealsostudied.Thespeedofconvergenceisexaminedbychangingtheestimatorinitialconditions.Resultsobtainedshowthattheproposedtechniquecanestimateandtrackthesymmetri

5、calcomponentsofnon-stationarythreephaseunbalancevoltageorcurrentwaveformsinnoisyenvironments.Fastaccuratesolutionsareguaranteedregardlessoftheinitialconditions.Itisalsoshownthatbadmeasurementshavenoeffectsonthefinalaccuracyoftheestimation.1.IntroductionThemethodofsym
