3、ecoronavirus(SARS-CoV)F(ab)2requiresevaluationinasmanyanimalmodelsaspossible.Inthisstudy,wees-tablishedanewanimalmodel,theChinesehamster,susceptibletoSARS-CoVinfection.SARS-CoVcouldpropagateeffectivelyandsustainhighlevelsfor1wkinanimallungs.Allanimalswerep
4、ro-tectedfromSARS-CoVinfectioninpreventivesettings.Further,whenusedtherapeuticallythisan-tibodyledtoanapproximately4-log10decreaseinviralburdenininfectedanimallungs.Thepatho-logicalchangesinlungscorrelatedcloselywiththedoseofantibodyadministered.Theexcellen
