3、cientlythanfelinecoronavirusinacellcultureandtheyaremutuallyrelatedintheirantigenicities,anenzyme-linkedimmunosorbentassay(ELISA)usingCCV-infectedfelinekidney(CRFK)cellsassubstrateantigenswasdevelopedfordetectionofanti-coronavirusantibodiesincats.Itwasindispensablef

4、orgeneratingcoronavirus-specificELISAantibodyactivitiesthatthesamplewasappliedtothemock-infected,normalCRFKcellsinparallelwiththeCCV-infectedcellsandthentheopticaldensityvaluesgivenbythemock-infectedcellantigenweresubtractedfromthosegivenbythevirus-infectedcellantig

5、en.OnthebasisofELISAantibodytitersobtainedinserafromthecatsexperimentallyinfectedwithCCVandfromthespontaneousfelineinfectiousperitonitis(FIP)cases,theELISAdescribedinthepresentstudywasfoundtobeapplicableasasimpleandeasyserologictestwhichwasabletodetectanti-coronavir
