2、herlandsAbstract:Activespacedebrisremovalmissionsareanecessarywaytocontrolandreducedebrisgrowth,inordertopermitfuturesustainablespaceactivities.Themethodhereproposedcanbeclassifiedasamomentumexchangemethod,andinparticularitcanbethoughtasadragaugmentationsystem.Thecoreideaistodevelopasy
3、stemabletoapplyanexpandedfoamballaroundatargetdebrisenlargingitsarea-to-massratiotoincreasethenaturalatmosphericdragandthussignificantlydeceleratinganddeorbitingthedebris.Thedragaugmentationsystemhereproposeddoesnotrequireanydockingsystem;anuncontrolledre-entrytakesplaceendingwithaburn
